2010 - SME 300 - Company of the Year

"The big winner on the night was Petroleum Experts which took three prizes. The oil and gas software engineering specialist picked up the most focused SME, best medium SME300 company and the SME300 company of the year.  The Edinburgh business has developed a world leading position with its products to help improve the efficiency and business performance of oilfields. It has built up a £60million war chest which it plans to use for further expansion.  The judging panel was hugely impressed with how the company has grown and also by its inclusive culture.  One judge said: "It has incredible focus on its niche. The focus on technology and innovation in the sector is paying major dividends."  Another added: "An outstanding winner. This is a firm clearly at the top of its game. Sometimes you come across a company so impressive it just hits you in the face - and that is what I felt about Petroleum Experts."
