Announcement from Midland Valley and Badleys on behalf of the Upstream Technology Alliance

Following the recent acquisition of Upstream Technology Alliance member IES – Integrated Exploration Systems Ltd by Schlumberger Ltd, the founding members of the Upstream Technology Alliance, Midland Valley Exploration and Badley Geoscience, would like to emphasise that Midland Valley and Badleys have not been acquired by Schlumberger Ltd and continue to operate as independent companies.

With IES now part of the Schlumberger organisation, joint marketing efforts with IES within the framework of the Upstream Technology Alliance will come to an end. However, Midland Valley and Badleys look forward to continuing their work with IES on a technical level to evolve further the combined workflows and model exchange as well as continued collaboration on joint products.

Midland Valley and Badleys will be maintaining and strengthening a Structural Geology Alliance and are expanding areas of mutual benefit and interest in our Alliance. Highlights for this year include our new initiatives with academic partners - in fundamental research in structure and tectonics, and in teaching the next generation of professionals.
