Clare is a Lecturer in Petroleum Geology at the University of Aberdeen, with responsibility for developing industry focused training courses (CPD) in geoscience, as well as developing her portfolio of research. Clare’s current interests include the visualisation of field data in 3D and using structural modelling to predict attributes, such as fracture orientations and intensity.

Clare previously joined Midland Valley as a Research Geologist in 2005 working between the University of Glasgow and Midland Valley on the ‘Odin’ research project investigating interpretational uncertainty.  In 2007 she joined the Midland Valley consulting team full-time, working on petroleum and CO2 projects worldwide, as well as continuing her research interests.  During this time Clare set up the NERC case studentship for PhD candidate Euan Macrae (below), was involved in increasing links between universities and Midland Valley and managed the Support Geologists in Midland Valley’s Knowledge Centre team.
