Mission and Ethics
Midland Valley was set up over 25 years ago and is still based on our founding principle - run by geologists for geologists. This ensures that the company displays a single-minded commitment to the present and evolving needs of our clients and the end use of our products and services.
Geologists will have an increasing social and economic role to play, especially the next generation, and we seek to equip them with the best tools and workflows used across our sectors.
Midland Valley operates a policy of equality and inclusion.
Our technical team is recruited globally on the basis of merit. We expect all of the team to contribute to the decision making process through regular team and company meetings, and have an open door policy for all aspects of our corporate life.
How green is the Valley?

It goes without saying that companies in the explorative industries don't figure highly in the public's mind when it comes to being green. However in Midland Valley we take a different view. We believe that by contributing to the reduction of technical and commercial risk through a better understanding of the subsurface our clients are able to produce the resources that we need in the most energy efficient manner. Thus leading to a lower environmental and societal footprint. Over the years we have also been involved in sequestration projects ranging from CO2 storage to radioactive waste.
We recycle and re-use when possible and our office premises have been chosen with the lowest possible energy consumption in mind and to make public transport the best option for travelling to work.
It is important that we all do our bit.
