Our technical team is recruited globally on the basis of merit and at present we employ over 14 different nationalities. We expect all of the team to contribute to the decision making process through regular team and company meetings, and have an open door policy for all aspects of our corporate life. Our equal opportunity and equal pay policy means that women comprise 44% of our team including senior technical positions and in management to Board level.  

How green is the Valley?

It goes without saying that companies in the energy and mining sectors don't figure highly in the public's mind when it comes to being green. However in Midland Valley we take a different view. We believe that by contributing to the reduction of technical and commercial risk through a better understanding of the subsurface our clients are able to produce the resources that we need in the most energy efficient manner. Thus leading to a lower environmental and societal footprint. Over the years we have also been involved in sequestration projects ranging from CO2 storage to radioactive waste.

We recycle and re-use when possible and our office premises have been chosen with the lowest possible energy consumption in mind. Being in the centre of Glasgow has also meant that public transport is a better option for most of the team travelling to work.

It is important that we all do our bit.
