Midland Valley regards Research and Development as one of its core activities. R&D informs our Consulting and Training activities, and these in turn inform future software development. In this way we are able to provide our clients with ever more accurate results and ever more sophisticated tools.
We are constantly evolving new techniques for the application of our software to project work (both external and internal consulting) and developing new ideas for future functionality. Within the techniques section, we will be showcasing the capabilities of our software products.
Both 3DMove and 2DMove are extremely powerful and flexible tools that enable the user to constantly find new ways of doing things. We are primarily concerned with developing tools for structural geology, but our model building and editing functionalities are widely used and are also attracting sales in their own right. We also have a range of 'peripheral' functionality for adjacent disciplines, such as migration analysis, seismic attribute mapping and fracture analysis. To bring a wider awareness of this potential we will be updating this section regularly and would also welcome your workflows and presentations for inclusion.
Our next generation of software - 4DMove - will be ready for release later this year.
