| Academic Software Initiative |
|
Since launching at our Silver Anniversary Technology Meeting in September 2008, our Academic Software Initiative has become a great success with over 200 universities globally taking up our offer of free Move software licences. In monetary terms of investment the GBP value of the individual components within the ASI agreements exceeds £75m.
As part of the ASI agreement institutes will provide a summary of usage, example datasets and workflows which will feed into our future Move development plans. The first of the agreements under the ASI are undergoing renewal and we hope to be able to publish some case-studies in the coming months.
Based around the feedback we have received our Structural Geologist Ruth Wightman has developed a workbook, Move Teaching Aids for Structural Geology, which can be used for teaching or self-learning and covers the interaction of 3D structures with topography and the resultant map patterns as well as the kinematic modelling of structures.
Make sure your University is a part of the ASI or to receive the workbook contact us.
